Poached smoked herring


Smoked herring is one of my favorite small oily fish, readily available and tasty.


1. In a shallow pan, add a cm deep of milk, or water with 2 tbsp sour cream, flavor with ginger and black pepper, simmer for a few minutes.
2. Add slices of smoked herrings, simmer gently until warm through, about 3 minutes.
