-市中心樹木多，綠意盎然；
-高樓大廈之間仍然有空間感，沒有用盡土地，建得密密麻麻，或建得越高越好；
-新建大廈設計各有特色，不少有空中花園；
-政府居屋，外觀美侖美奐，明淨討好；
-城市各處，可看到不少一整排兩層高的舊式房子，保留下來，翻新成為特色地區，保育異常成功；
-新的娛樂觀光景點，如巨大室內雲雨樹林，都有新意；
-食物百花齊放，平貴皆可取；
-地方清潔，走得輕鬆，大排檔亦舒服企理，吃得安心；
-交通方便，巴士地鐵的士都多且易用；
每年回港，會在東南亞找地方作短遊，今年和友人來星加坡玩幾天，對上一次已是幾十年前的事，印象全無。
四處走走，建設真的沒話說，以一個沒有什麼天然資源的小地方，政府有心思，有視野，管理亦好。
作為遊客，須然只看到表面功績，已覺得是東南亞中做得最好的地方。

Environment is charming, flavours used are rich yet subtle, every dish from starter to dessert is a delight, the most memorable meal of the holiday.

So many hawker centres, a lot of Michelin recommendations, a wide range of prices to choose from, it is easy to find places to eat. Hawker centres are amazingly clean and tidy.
Liked very much the famous Sungei bridge Laksa, and Kelly Jie white pepper crab.

With very small land area, I am very surprised that in many areas, especially Katong, China Town and Little India, there are so many streets of old style 2 floors buildings being kept, and renovated to its former glory, not pull down to build new ones.
The 3
quays, Boat quay, Clark quay and Robinson quay, are turned into leisure
walking, cultural, eating and shopping areas, another pleasant open
space next to water location to relax in.
Every year back in HK, I will make small trips to south east Asian countries, this time spent 5 days in Singapore. Last visit was over 30 years ago, no memory left at all.
Using MRT and taxi to wander around various sites, it is easy to see that city planning is well done. A lot of trees, buildings are not crowded together, not all super high rises, there are spaces among them. Architecture is modern and pleasant, with a lot of gardens in mid air.
