700 years ago, some monks came to this area
to search spiritual answers. They built shelters in the caves of the giant rocks
and meditated.

Gradually, buildings started to appear at the top of the rocks, became
bigger and grander, some monasteries took over 200 years to built.

It is just
amazing to look at these buildings that seems to grow out of the rocks. There
are a lot of steps cut into the rock to get up to the monasteries.

Up there,
the monasteries are actually quite large, includes gardens, terraces, churches,
cellar, and many side buildings, all very well renovated with tourist money pouring in.
In a way, they looks more like a luxury hill top resort!
