It is a small bush that is grown from seed in Spring. The fruit will start to form in August, and is covered in a green wrap like a lantern, protecting it from insect attack. When it fully ripens in early October, the wrap changes to straw colour and the fruit inside is yellow orange, it is sweet with a tangy citrus taste.
