The important factor for having a good harvest is
whether the birds have a lot to eat elsewhere, which seems to be the case this
year, so that they do not need to finish all cherries when they were at the green
stage.

For the first time after moving here, I have some homegrown cherry to
eat, small amount from the young trees and mainly from one old tree.
