Pork chop with apple and beetroot warm salad

beetroot and apple chips

It is so easy and requires less space to store dried vegetable and fruit, so I turn the excess production last year into dried form. It is now time to use them as the garden is not producing at all.
Pork chop with apple and beetroot warm salad

 1. Place apple and beetroot chips in a pot with a cup of water, season with sugar, a pinch of salt and 5 spices powder. Stir and turn over for the chips to absorb liquid. They will soften in a couple of minutes, but still retain the texture.
2. Season pork chop with salt, 5 spices powder and a little brown sugar. Sear at medium heat until cooked.
