Kailan in 2 ways

 Kailan (UK seeds) where planted in the greenhouse last December, not a lot of growth until March. By now the leaves are big but the stem is still short, I can see flower buds forming in the center, I have to start harvesting them.

Got 4 plants for a meal, the stems after removing outside skin, is so sweet and crunchy that I don't want to cook them, just cut into slices, season with salt and enjoy the pure taste.

 

The leaves are cooked with ginger, rice wine and some sugar, nice rich flavor and deep colour.
