This is a house favorite and decided to make it from scratch, whole black sesame.

1. First is to dry roast sesame seeds on frying pan, using medium high heat and stirring all the time. When seed starts to pop, feels hot and fragrant, it is time to take them out and cool down, less than 5 minutes.
2. Using a Food Processor, pulse grind the seeds, when beginning to stick, flavor with honey, add coconut oil to lubricate. Pulse grind until not too coarse, it is hard to get to very fine and smooth like shop bought one, just good enough to use in making rice balls.
3. Chill in the fridge to harden, use spoon to take portions out, roll to small balls.
4. Mix glutinous rice flour with water, roughly 1:1 by weight, 150gm flour makes around 24 balls.
5. Place in boiling water, cooking in medium high heat until float to the top, serve in a bowl with osmanthus flower sugar, or ginger syrup.
