Musky octopus

Octopus is a popular item on the menu of countries around the Mediterranean Sea. I am surprised to see it on my fishmonger site, caught in Irish water.

It is a species called musky octopus, according to wiki info, can sometimes found in the Atlantic Ocean. The difference between musky octopus and those swimming in Mediterranean Sea, is it has only one row of suckers on each tentacles, instead of two. You learn something every day!

I clean them, freeze to tenderise, season with ginger juice, soy sauce and olive oil. Place on bbq until slightly charred on the edges, delicious.
