While traveling in
Malaysia, in the market I saw, for the first time, turmeric flowers. Local people use them in salad or soup.
Knowing the health benefit of turmeric, I am keen to grow it to use the root
and now, also the flowers.

I buried a few pieces
of root with buds in April and now, when weather is finally boiling hot, they
shoot up giant leaves, quite a sight. Don't know how long I have to wait for
flowers to come?
