Denmark is not a
tourist hot spot, at least not among my friends, none has been there, at most just
passed by on the way to Norway or Sweden. So it is with not much expectation
that I started on this journey.
I went via Germany to
reach the southern border of Denmark, took the ferry to Fyn. There was an
instant calmness on reaching Denmark, huge contrast with busy roads and crowded
cities as in Germany.
This southern part of
Denmark is green, with gentle rolling hills, lots of wild flowers in full bloom,
quaint old houses, some castles and manor houses dotted around, and never far
away from the blue sea.
Indeed I was lucky to
be there on sunny warm days, everything looks fabulous and I feel peaceful.
