On a self-drive trip to Namibia, covering
the scenic area in the south and the west coast, then safari game viewing in the
north, a clockwise loop for 4 weeks.
As the roads are mostly gravel, rented a 4
wheels drive for a safer experience. Indeed an hour out of the capital
Windhoek, it is all gravel road, no more towns, houses and human presence,
really a sparsely populated country (the second in the world).

On arrival from the plane, I could see a
lot of dead straight roads in the country, but once driving, they are actually rippling
up and down.
