The first time to drive in Japan, much easier way to go to the countryside and see the more natural side of Japan. A short one week's tour of Wakayama prefecture of the Kii peninsula right east of Osaka. The main focus is to visit the two UNESCO sites in the mountains and tour the coast on the south west side of the peninsula.

A sprawling city surrounded by green mountains. It is not a busy place, with a re-built in the original style castle at the top of the hill.

There are a number of temples in other streets, it is an easy city to wander around.
