On top of strawberry, there is a small
harvest of cherry from the big old tree, blueberry started to mature and turn
deep blue, and lastly Manchurian cherry or Chokeberry are ready too.

When fully mature and turned a deep
red, Manchurian cherry is sour with mild sweetness. It is small with a big
stone, sort of a bit like sloe. It is ok to eat a few at a time but otherwise
can be turned into jam. I am just surprised that with the beautiful colour,
birds do not attack Manchurian cherry, they do have good taste.
