Smoked mackerel rice

 



 

Ordered more of this fatty smoked mackerel, thought of using it to make Japanese eel rice. Indeed mackerel is good and the rice is super delicious.

1. Make a sauce of soy sauce, honey, brown sugar and rice wine, until it just does not taste salty.

2. Pour on top of smoked mackerel, split into halves.

3. Place steamed rice in baking dish, mackerel on top with all the sauce poured in. Grill until mackerel warmed up, around 15 minutes.
