Fermented fresh turmeric cocomus spread





A way to remove some water from fresh turmeric so that it can keep better in a spread is to use honey to ferment it. Honey draws moisture out and add a mild sweetness to turmeric. Then blend with Cocomus to make a spread, keep in small jars and in the fridge/freezer. 

I love the golden colour and has much nicer flavour than using turmeric powder. To ferment turmeric, simply cut into thin slices, cover with honey, stir everyday, use when bubbles subside.
