Dairy farm visit

Join a guided tour to a dairy farm run by a young 4th generation of the family. He is named a Nature Ambassador to promote his farming method, because of his more balanced way to run the farm. Less cows, 1.6 per Hectare instead of standard 2.5, having a lot of mix hedges and let cows to eat/prune the branches, measure the soil condition and add just enough fertiliser and reseeding of grass etc.

What is most impressive is how gentle and curious his cows are. They happily come to where we stand and start licking our arms and backs, with their sand paper like tongue, put the heads in between us and even rest on someone's shoulder. They are big but for the first time I see them like cats, wanting to be stroked and scratched. They moan loudly when we leave the field, looking very upset.
