North Vietnam tour 6/6 memorable dishes

Vietnamese food is full of flavor and very affordable, here are some dishes I like very much.



I never though of using these tiny shrimps this way, stir fry with star fruit, soy sauce and Vietnamese coriander, so delicious and umami. 


The specialty in Ninh Binh area is goat, love this stir-fried goat with a lot of lemon grass and chili. 


Called mochi in Cat Ba island, shallow fried glutinous rice paste, crunch on the outside and gooey inside. 


At Cat Ba island, the most memorable dish is local clams, very tasty blanched in lemongrass, Vietnamese coriander and chili broth.

 

Betal leaves wrapped mince, a unique flavor. 


Clam pork balls, moist and umami, wonderful combination. 


Coffee is super popular, the special egg coffee, mildly sweet whipped egg yolk on expresso is delicious, a rich mouth feel.
