Fig apple sesame jam |
With 2 fruit driers in full operation and
still a lot of figs on the tree, I have to think of more ways to transform
them. It is actually quite easy to make a large batch of jam in the oven,
baking it at low temperature and turning over every hour, safe a lot of time
standing in front of a hot stove.
over ripe figs |
1. Use fig that are overripe and not
presentable to eat, cut into chunks.
2. Peel apple and cut into small pieces.

3. Mix fig with apple and juice of lemon,
season with a big pinch of salt and ginger or other spices. Bake at 120˚C until
sweet and dry enough, about 4 hours.

4. Add roasted sesame for texture before
bottling.
