Toffee figs

The pressure to use up figs make me create this little treat, figs cooked in their own sweet juice until caramelised into a tasty snack.

1. Cut the top off good size and good looking figs , pack in a shallow baking tray.

2. Bake at 100˚C, juice with ooze out, turn figs over every 2 hours to moisten the exposed part.

3. Keep drying and turning over until sticky and toffee like, around 10 hours.
