Pear chocolate cake


 

Picked more pears that are of good size to cook with, to start eating them before they all mature at the same time. I choose to use more eggs to replace butter for a lighter texture.

 

5 eggs

100 gm flour

60gm brown sugar

40 gram molasses (optional)

30 gm coco powder

1 tsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt

4 pears and cooking syrup

 

Pear chocolate cake

 

 

1. Cut pears into small cubes and cook in syrup until soft.

2. Whisk 2ggs, add remaining ingredients, mix into a batter.

3. Pour into oiled baking dish, add cooked pear (without syrup) into mixture.

4. Bake at 180˚C until cooked, around 40 minutes.
