Pear pickles

There is a continue harvest of pears, some I left to ripen on the table, some I use in cooking, as a crunchy addition in savory dishes.

 

Pear, cucumber and samphire pickle

Pear, cucumber and samphire pickle

Cut cucumber and pear into pieces, mix with blanched samphire, marinate in vinegar, chili, salt and sugar. Rest for half a day before serving.

Pear turnip mustard pickle

Cut pear and turnip into strips, season with mustard and salt for half an hour, goes well with grilled meat.
