The Burren NP and surrounding area is covered with a limestone layer, in thousand of years of climatic action, it is easy to see huge clints and grikes.
The shore next to Doolin harbour is easiest to see these huge cracks and slabs, like the surface is being cut up into huge slices.
Hard to tell how deep the cracks (grikes) go down. The shapes of the slabs (clints) are defined by the cracks, of all irregular sizes, also called limestone pavement.
