Another south American tuber, that grows well in Ireland, without needing much work. A small but spreading wide plant. Planted in June and harvest in Feb when the plant died down. The carmine pink tubers are very close to the surface, unfortunately as I was away, slugs had get to them first, reducing the yield.
It is cooked like potato, with a less flouring texture, very mild taste.
