Hairy cucumber 節瓜

My previous French neighbour called this Asian vegetable 節瓜 hairy cucumber when he saw it in my garden, made me laugh, what a good name. 

Even though it grows like cucumber, a climber, it has to be cooked before serving, a bit like zucchini in texture.
