Instant chili paste


A festive Chinese New Year dish is white turnip cake, usually served with orange chili paste. It is actually very easy to make a similar tasting chili paste without buying the commercial version, which has MSG and preservatives added.

I made this one using peach, which is what I have at home at that moment, tomato with do the job too.
Blend peeled peach (or tomato), cut into chunks, with dry red chili, add a little water if too thick, season with salt, vinegar and sugar to you taste.
