Picking figs in end August, the first in
many years!
I need to thanks birds, starlings in
particular, that descends onto the tree, and so alerted me to check the fruits.

In quick look, the old tree seems to be full
of small green fruits, but on close inspection, there is always one fig in the
group that is mods advanced in maturity, a phenomenon I have not seen in
previous years.
