Arrive in Rovinj in time to help friend
with olive farm to start harvesting olives. It is a bit early, but one species
of olive is being attacked by olive fly and in 7 days the fly will eat 1/4 of
the fruit. So need to rush to harvest those olives first.

The olives are pressed mechanically in a
mill within the same day, to ensure no oxidation and that the oil is of top
quality. Luckily still get 10.4% oil yield for the early harvest.

Excellent evening harvest meal,
cooked by friend's mother, traditional meat and vegetable stew slow cooked in
wood fire.
