North of Trento is the beginning of the
Dolomite range.

We arrived at Trento for lunch at a Slow Food recommended
restaurant. This is Saturday, food was well prepared and good value, but there were
only 2 tables of customers. We asked the manager and owner why it was so quiet.
He laughed and said that this was the first sunny day in Spring, and every one in
Trento went up to the mountain to enjoy the day.

We drove up too and the mountain view is
fantastic, snow is still thick and it is enjoyable to walk around in
the warm sun.
