Near Gerouberg is this
wall of perfectly formed square basalt column. Basalt columns can be seen
everywhere in Iceland, but rarely so big and so uniform.

Nearby at
Ytri-Rauoamerur is this perfect smooth sided volcanic cone. The land around is
covered with odd shaped lava rocks, some moss started to grow, a raw view of
the beginning of land formation.
