| Lake Derg |
In guide books for Ireland, this remark appears everywhere "on a fine day you can see.......(certain far away landscape)". Indeed it is true, when most of the time it is cloudy, visibility is always low. So when there is a rare clear moment, bright sun with few cloud, you have to act fast.
Yesterday early morning was such a time, drove up to Tountinna mountain top at 457m. For the first time I could see the whole of Lake Derg, the enlarged part of River Shannon, and land that stretches to Galway and Kerry, the west and north west coast, it was breathtaking.
