| Galway river Corrib |
Went to Galway for a day, to see this 4th biggest city of Ireland, actually the centre is pleasantly small and can walk around easily. Arrived on a drizzly morning, quite normal, walked round the farmers market, the main street, the monuments.
Then the sun came out as we wander down the magnificent river Corrib, right in middle of Galway. Most cities and towns in Ireland have a river flowing past, Corrib is, so far I have seen, the most beautiful one. The river is wide, the flow is fast, with a lot of natural vegetation along the sides, 3 bridges that cross it and a path along.
A short drive out of Galway is the wild Atlantic coast, with a long walking path that stretches for a long way.
