Seaweed fertilizer

 

I followed a polytunnel gardening group in Ireland, and in winter they have the traditional habit of picking up seaweed that have piled up on the shore. Lots of them, to be laid on top of veg plots to over winter, the soil will be enriched with good source of fertilizer. While out for a visit at Burren NP, went to the nearby west coast and found lots of seaweed on the shore to gather, will see how well they decompose in the winter months.
