Other than mix salad leaves, there is now a regular harvest of peas and strawberries.
Peas mature fast and have to catch up in
picking the fat pods before they turns starchy, a lot to eat. I now blanch the whole pod for a few seconds to soften a little, still very sweet and firm peas.
I have grown a few varieties of strawberries which are better in cooler weather, so far harvested :
-Korona (perfect conical shape, good balance of acid and sweetness)
-Elsanta (can be lumpy shape, fragrant and on the soft side)
-Ostara (perfect conical shape, firm texture, mild flavor)
