Even though everyday is a special day, but the end day of the year needs a special attention. Some food we like to taste, wines we like to try, and lot of chat are our way to spend the night.
Bought 2 bottles of pure rice Sake, around 16 %
alcohol, one is organic Chikurin (Bamboo Forest) and the other has a tag that
said it won gold medal. Both go well with assorted Sashimi and Foie Gras. Like the
Chikurin sake very much, a deep rich flavor, lots of umami, and no sourness
like white grape wine. The other is more floral and milder.
Then some grilled okra and white asparagus, followed by a few cherry stone clams, seared slices of duck breast, finished by a few pieces of melt in the mouth Wagyu beef tenderloin.
