Still enjoying the pickled line caught mackerels in Norway. Unlike rollmop, after pickling, mackerel is cooked by the vinegar, I don’t know what made this difference.
Anyway, very tender flesh, mildly sweet sour savoury, great for simple starter or quick lunch.
