Satay beef



Bought black cardamon seeds, a latest spice to learn to use. The aim is to have at least 30 different ingredients in a day, to get a diverse source of micro-nutrients (from Dr Tim Spector).

Black cardamon seed looks like black sesame, has a mild flavour, hard to describe, not powerful to have like and dislike, gives a warm background taste.

Season beef with salt, soy sauce, miso, rice wine, blackpepper, curry powder, brown sugar and black cardamon seed. Place on baking sheet and grill at 200˚C for 15 minutes.
