First time to grow winter melon, planted the seedling inside green house in May. Baby melons started to form in July, but only 2 managed to stay on and grow big, very slow growth. By now, when the temperature in the green house is cold too, the vine died and have to harvest the melon, may not have reached it full ripeness.
Cooked the small one in soup with some dry shrimps and baby green leaves. The flesh is very hard but turn soft after cooking and the soup is tasty.
