Our one old tree produces a wonderful harvest this years, after cooking/eating regularly, giving boxes away, there is still a lot left.
Instead of keeping in the barn where most of the time will turn bad, decided to make the effort to cut into slices and dry in dehydrator. 10 hours drying shrinks 30 apples into a medium size bag, to be stored in freezer. Will be used in the future in dessert, chutney and in meat stewing.
