When the sun is out for a few days, we pack the camper and off to the west coast, again, but a different part. So many bays and coastal areas there that deserve a slow thorough visit.
This time on the first day we stay at Cleggan Harbour, a working harbour. We encountered in the evening and then the morning returning small fishing boats, from emptying their pots for crabs and lobsters. So happy to be able to buy direct from fishermen, they ask for very modest prices compared to market prices.
Crab claws meat on small ones are sweet and tender, on bigger ones are a bit dry, better to cook with scramble eggs.
Enjoyable cycling on small lanes along the coast, and walking on empty sandy beaches.
