| Gynura bicolor 紅鳯菜 |
This is a common vegetable in Taiwan, the
leaves are dark green on the surface and rich purple below, most attractive.
Read about this from a Taiwanese writer who is living in Hong
Kong, she rated this as the most tasty green vegetable but surprised that it is
not available locally.

While having a holiday in Taipei this Spring, I found
the vegetable in the market and learned that it is propagated by cutting, super
easy to grow.
Indeed the bunch I brought back survived traveling via Honk Kong
to my garden here. Grows on well with thick shiny leaves, and she is right,
tasted good, nutty taste with a good texture.
