I like growing okra, being a member of the hibiscus family, the plant is majestic, the flower big and beautiful, the fruit - okra is cute.

A lot of people don't like the slimy juice of okra when served as a salad. I found that baking is the best way to reduce this slimy material, simply shake with some olive oil, bake at 180˚C for 15 minutes, sprinkle some salt and serve.
