Nettle tea |
In France I used nettle in cooking,
there is not a lot of flavor, but a good fresh green leaves for use in spring
when there is not a lot to offer in the vegetable garden.
In Ireland, the nettle is much taller
and leaves bigger, making harvest very easy. So I pick some for tea, simply
wash then pour hot water on it. The leaves stay bright green, the tea mild
green, with a bean taste, an interesting drink, and very cheerful to the
eyes.
