I like the flavour of kumquat and always have a jar of sliced kumquat seasoned with a little salt and honey. It is handy to serve as pickle or used in cooking for a sweet sour flavour.

1. Slice pork and season with minced garlic, ginger, salt, 5 spices powder, rice wine, olive oil and pepper for half an hour.
2. Mix with pickled kumquat, grill until slightly charred.
