An important reason to come back from France direct to Ireland is to be able to bring back a lot of wine, 3 times more than coming via UK, thanks to Brexit.
Selection of wine in Ireland is small, and mark up is high, and few are organic. It is very painful to pay that price for a mediocre bottle of daily drinking wine.
So in France, went round a few hypermarkets, looks at organic wines, pick those that come from hot southern area like Languedoc, Provence, south Rhone. For red wine, the target is an alcohol content of at least 14%, then without tasting, the wine should be rich and full of flavour as the grapes used were well matured in the hot sun.
Price range for such quality of organic wine is between 7-15 Euro, only.
