Tour of Yim Tin Tsai island

Just 15 minutes by boat from Sai Kung town, with hourly regular service, it is a pleasant day out to explore this small island.  The maximum population was a thousand and dwindled down to 4 in the 80's. Immigrated descendants came back to restore the last salt pan in Hong Kong, keeping the history of the island and their ancestral land.

During weekend, a restaurant serves some typical Hakka dishes, including clay oven roasted chicken. Other stores sells traditional sticky rice desert and a cafe serving simple dishes.

A pleasant way to spend a day, in beautiful environment, learn some history, and some decent food and drink.
