Touring Norway - Day 9 Hardanger plateau to Sognefjord

Raining, time to do some distance driving, crossing the mountain range running vertically in the middle of Norway, back to the fjord, coast side.

Took the pass along the Hardanger plateau, the highest in Europe. Hard to describe the wild and wide landscape, still mossy green not barren, peaceful in its way.

Found a cabin selling local honey and reindeer salami. The summer honey, intense herbs aroma especially mint, reindeer salami is deep purple red and flavourful.

Then arrived at the fjord, lined with green mountains, with small villages dotted around the coast.

Took the ferry fron Vik across to Balestrand, it is an electric ferry, so quiet and no fume smell.

Stayed along Sognefjord near Nessane for fishing and the night, so far one cod.
