Ireland Connemara tour 3/3 - Cleggan, Letterfrack and the inland

On the return journey, stopped at Cleggan harbour to talk to fishermen and directed to a depot for shellfish in one of the far corner of the coast. The family business buys them off fishermen and deliver to France or Spain every week. Bought 3 lobsters for neighbours and 2 crayfishes for ourselves. Very hard to buy crayfish as they are rare and most are sold to overseas buyers.

The coast line around Cleggan and around Letterfrack is idyllic and pristine, so beautiful, especially on a clear day.

Then cut through inland to reach the motorway home, The boggy land cannot support farming, only occasional sheep/goats. Huge expanse of open landscape with mountains at the far distance, and rivers flowing pass.
