Going away for a few days with school friends, decided on Stockholm to escape the heat in Europe.
I
read a couple of books to be familiar with the history and culture of this country. A wealthy country, welfare state, without getting involved in wars for nearly two
hundred years.
It’s very pleasant to wander around the old town, built in the era of 17-19th centuary, split into a few small islands joined by bridges.

building style as in Europe, very grand Royal Palace, beautiful old churches,
huge mansions, smaller buildings on curved alleys and there are many courtyards.

All these right next to water, being lucky that most mornings there is clear blue sky, is beautiful and unique.
