Eventhough a cold year, tomato plants in the
greenhouse is doing well, growing fast and bearing fruits early. Started
to harvest some cherry tomatoes in mid July and it is the first time I
have ripen beef tomato in beginning August, Red Hill, a French Basque
variety that I saved seeds for many years. Beautifully deep red and
soft, but indeed a bit lacking in flavour.
Planted some blue potato this year, small crop but
beautiful fully blue inside, it is for the eyes only, with same potato
flavour.
